Operating as a cottage bakery under Florida Cottage Bakery Laws, we work by pre-order and appointment only to ensure freshness, quality, and exceptional artistry in every bite. We also provide delivery and setup throughout the Gulf Coast region, including Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi.

Meet Lou
Hi, I’m Lou!
Being a mom, bonus mom, and proud grandma has shaped my life in so many ways. My love for art—from sketching and painting to crafting paper creations—has always been a part of me, and baking became my newest canvas. What started as homemade birthday cakes quickly grew into a passion for creating custom cakes, desserts, and dessert tables that bring joy and beauty to every celebration.
After moving from Mississippi to Ohio in 2009, I balanced family life with baking for every special occasion. Joining a local bakery when my youngest entered middle school helped me take my skills even further, learning new decorating techniques and discovering the joy of professional cake artistry.
I married my forever person and partner, Steve, in October 2023, after returning to my hometown of Caledonia, Mississippi. It was such a joy to refine my craft surrounded by family and familiar places.
In 2024, opportunity and family brought Steve and me to Crestview, Florida, where we now call home. We plan to stay in the area through retirement, and I’m thrilled to share my love of custom cakes and desserts with our community.
Steve and I are state-certified firefighters in Mississippi, where we volunteered with local county departments. Giving back to our community through this work has been fulfilling in ways I could never have imagined. Steve is also a military veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. To honor all first responders, we offer a discount on all orders and purchases with Lou’s Cake Art—it’s the very least we can do to show our appreciation for their service.
I am very excited for the opportunity to share my love of art and cakes with my community. It is my hope to continue creating the most delightful edible art and to bring smiles to everyone I serve. Knowing that my cakes and desserts can bring joy to people of all ages and from all walks of life fills my heart with unimaginable happiness. I couldn’t do it without Steve, who supports me behind the scenes with all the prep work and effort that goes into making each one-of-a-kind creation.
